§ Mr. Michael Marshallasked the Secretary of State for Transport whether, pursuant to the letter to the hon. Member for Arundel from the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport dated 13 June, he is now in a position to announce what progress has been made in implementing an agreed work programme for the Crossbush section of the proposed Arundel bypass.
§ Mr. Peter BottomleyWe have not yet completed investigations into the possibility of building the eastern section of the Arundel bypass ahead of the rest. Work is proceeding as quickly as possible. I will make an announcement as soon as I can.
