asked the Secretary of State for Energy what percentage of total electricity is produced in the European Community by light water nuclear reactors.

In 1985 some 27 per cent. of the electricity generated in the Community's 12 member states was produced by light water reactors. This year 35 per cent. of electricity generated in the Community will come from nuclear power stations.
