§ 39. Mr. Bill Walker
asked the Solicitor-General for Scotland if he will provide details of instructions given by his Department to procurators fiscal with regard to the issuing of warnings to individuals who have been charged by the police when the procurators have decided not to take the case to court.
§ The Solicitor-General for Scotland
The current instructions given by my Department to procurators fiscal with regard to the issuing of warnings remain the same in substance as those contained in Crown Office circular No. 1685, copies of which were deposited in the Libraries of both Houses in July 1980. I refer my hon. Friend to my predecessor's answer to my question on 9 July 1980 at columns546–48.
