§ Mr. Andersonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will seek to prevent the British Lions from touring South Africa after the Commonwealth Games this summer.
§ Mr. TraceyThe Government discourage sporting contacts with South Africa in accordance with the Gleneagles agreement. Should an invitation be issued to the British Lions to tour South Africa, we would seek to dissuade he rugby authorities from accepting it. The Government's views are well known to them.
