§ Mr. Peter BottomleyDecisions on the number and distribution of inspectors are a matter for the Health and Safety Commission and Executive, subject to the limits set by the Government on total salary expenditure and manpower. Six new factory inspectors are to start work in the executive's Manchester, north-west and Merseyside area offices in the next three months.
