§ The Prime MinisterThe number of routine security exercises involving the deployment of troops at Heathrow airport in each of the past five years is as follows. A similar exercise was held at Gatwick airport in 1983. The exercises are held at the request of the chief officer of police responsible for the policing of the airport.
