§ Mr. D. E. Thomasasked the Secretary of State for Energy how many nuclear incidents at Magnox nuclear power stations have been reported to his Department since 1974; and how many of these incidents have resulted in the declaring of a site alert.
§ Mr. GoodladBetween 1974 and July 1982, 65 incidents involving Magnox nuclear power stations were reported to my Department. Between July 1982 and the present time, seven incidents have been reported. Most of the incidents were of a minor or trivial nature. Only on two occasions was a "site alert" declared.
