§ Mr. DunnBirmingham local education authority published on 16 March 1985 proposals under section 12 of the Education Act 1980 to cease to maintain Erdington514W January, Official Report, columns 194–6, about the value of student grants, if he will provide the same information from 1978–79 as a base year.

girls' school and Orchard school at the end of the summer term 1986 and to establish a new mixed school in both sets of premises from September 1986.
A copy of the proposals was sent to my right hon. Friend on 19 March and received on 25 March.
The chief education officer of Birmingham wrote on 15 January 1986 to an official of the Department expressing concern that no decision had been announced. Since that date the authority has made further representations seeking a decision by means of telephone calls to officials.
A letter has been sent to the Birmingham local education authority today announcing my right hon. Friend's decision to approve the proposal.
