HC Deb 25 February 1986 vol 92 c481W
Q92. Mr. Wigley

asked the Prime Minister what further steps Her Majesty's Government intend taking to improve the economic well-being of Wales.

The Prime Minister

The Government will maintain their efforts to rebuild a sound and competitive economy, giving priority to the control of inflation, encouraging enterprise and seeking to keep wage increases to a level that will enable economic growth to be translated into increased employment, while improving the infrastructure and encouraging the development of business in Wales.
