§ Mr. Irvingasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (1) if he will make a statement on his Department's support for community service projects in Northern Ireland; and whether he has any plans to extend or develop his Department's work in this area;
(2) if he will estimate how many people have been involved in community service schemes supported by his Department in each of the last five years; and if he will make a statement.

My Department will continue to give support, within available resources, for the wide range of projects through which people in Northern Ireland are able to provide service to the community.
