§ Mr. Dobsonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list separately those district health authorities mentioned in paragraph 4.27 of the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General on National Health Service preventive medicine which (a) had no district call or recall schemes in operation, (b) had reported limited recall covering part of their areas, (c) had no firm plans for introducing schemes, (d) operated recall schemes only, (e) planned to introduce call schemes in 1985, (f) plan to introduce call schemes in 1986, (g) plan to use computerised patient registers and (h) already operated call and recall schemes.
§ Mr. HayhoeIn reply to the hon. Member's first three questions lists of district health authorities are shown in appendix 8 of the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General on "NHS: Preventive Medicine."
Those health authorities which in June 1985 operated recall schemes only are shown in table 1, those which planned to introduce call schemes during 1985 are shown in table 2, and those planning to introduce call schemes in 1986 in table 3.
All district health authorities listed in tables 2 and 3 can be expected to use computerised registers; in June 1985 details were still under discussion in some authorities. As regards those health authorities already operating call and recall schemes I refer the hon. Member to my reply to him on 3 February at columns 87–88.
