Mr. Kennedy

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he expects to announce the budgets for the financial year beginning April 1986 for the Scottish Development Agency and the Highlands and Islands Development Board.

The net overall provision for the 1986–87 financial year for both the Scottish Development Agency and the Highlands and Islands Development Board was published in the public expenditure White Paper (Cmnd. 9702) in January 1986 and in the "Scottish Commentary" published by the Scottish Office on 12 February 1986. I refer the hon. Member to either of these publications.
