§ Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will publish in the Official Report the grants-in-aid which have been made to companies in the tobacco industry since 1982.
§ Mr. Peter MorrisonSince 1982 no grant-in-aid has been made by the Department of Trade and Industry to companies in the tobacco industry. £5.5 million was paid to the tobacco industry under section 7 and section 8 of the Industrial Development Act in the period April 1979 to date.
