HC Deb 03 February 1986 vol 91 c51W
Mr. Foulkes

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what action has been taken to dispose of the land and buildings of the former Callender Park college of education; what is the current position; what revenue has accrued to the Government; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Allan Stewart

Because of difficulties in selling the property while it was partially occupied by the Forth Valley Health Board college of nursing, Moray House college of education, as the owners, decided not to proceed with disposal of the property until it could be offered with vacant possession. In light of advice from a firm of estate agents appointed in October 1983, an application for planning permission for private housing was made in January of this year to Falkirk district council prelimary to marketing the site. No revenue has so far accrued to the Government.
