asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will revise the "Marine Radar Performance Specification 1977"; and if he will make a statement.

The "Marine Radar Performance Specification 1968" has been revised and is superseded by the "Marine Radar Performance Specification 1982". The "Marine Radar Reflector Performance Specification 1977" will be updated by an ISO standard which is now well advanced; this when published will be complemented by an identical British standard.
