§ Mr. Maddenasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the purpose of the interport lists circulated within the immigration service; if he will place a copy of interport list 213/86 in the Library; and what criteria are observed in placing names of individuals or organisations on interport lists.
§ Mr. WaddingtonThe interport list is a means of transmitting to ports of entry a variety of operational information and instructions, including action to be taken in individual cases. The criterion for inclusion is a requirement to bring the information to the notice of operational staff at the earliest possible opportunity. It would not be right to place this type of information in the Library.
