HC Deb 16 December 1986 vol 107 c514W
25. Mr. Park

asked the Paymaster General if he will make a statement on training for high technology skills.

37. Mr. Faulds

asked the Paymaster General if he will make a statement on training for high technology skills.

Mr. Trippier

Training for high technology skills is of the greatest importance for ensuring this country's economic prosperity. In recognition of this fact one of the key objectives of the Government's adult training strategy is to secure an adequate supply of people with the up-to-date skills to meet the demands of new technology generally.

30. Mr. Tim Smith

asked the Paymaster General what information he has as to the number of job vacancies in high technology industries in the Thames Valley area.

Mr. Lee

An analysis of vacancy statistics by industry group is available in the Library, but is not sufficiently detailed for high technology industries to be separately identified.
