§ Mr. Kennedyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will estimate the total number of claimants applying to each of his Department's offices located within Highland region for each year from 1979 to 1986 respectively.
§ Mr. Lyell[pursuant to his reply, 12 December 1986, c. 295]: The Highland region is covered, for social security purposes, by the Department's local offices at Fort William, Inverness and Wick. The number of claims for supplementary benefit received at these offices each year from 1979 to 1986 was:
