§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish a table showing the amount of money paid by each African country last year to the United Kingdom Government for servicing debts.
§ Mr. MacGregorThe amount paid directly to the United Kingdom Government by African countries in the last financial year for aid loans made by the Overseas Development Administration was £9,817,572. During 1985 official development assistance to Africa amounted to £280,334,000 — of which debt relief totalled £18,192,000.
