Mr. Frank Cook

asked the Paymaster General if he will give an estimate of the costs incurred by his Department as a result of the work of the Environment Committee on its consideration of the question of reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel.

Mr. Trippier

The estimated costs incurred by my Department in giving oral and written evidence to the Environment Committee were £3,200. The Committee's recommendations are being considered.
