§ Mr. MajorThe Industrial Injuries Advisory Council's report on occupational lung cancer is published today. It recommends the prescription of lung cancer in three groups of workers, namely
those exposed to a chemical known as bis (chloromethyl) ether (BCME) produced during the manufacture of chloromethyl methyl ether (CMME) those exposed to the dust of zinc chromate, calcium chomate and strontium chromate tin minersThe Government accept the council's recommendations, and regulations will be laid to bring them into operation next year.
