§ 34. Mr. Maddenasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry when he next proposes to meet the Trades Union Congress's textile committee to discuss prospects for the textile industry.
§ Mr. Giles ShawI have no plans to do so at present. My hon. Friend the Minister for Trade met the committee on 5 March and 25 July to discuss the position on the multi-fibre arrangement. Officials dealing with textiles and clothing matters also hold periodic meetings with the committee and have kept in regular touch with it on the progress of the MFA and related issues.
