§ Mr. Onslowasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what action he is taking to ensure that police forces in England and Wales are fully briefed on the relevant sections of the Salmon Act 1976.
§ Mr. Douglas HoggThe enforcement of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975 falls primarily to water authorities rather than the police, who may provide assistance on request. We are not aware of any difficulties encountered by the police which required advice from this Department.
