§ Mr. Archie HamiltonOne of Her Majesty's Government's principal objections to a comprehensive test ban treaty is the lack of an effective procedure to discriminate between small natural seismic events, chemical explosions and nuclear explosions. It is consequently not possible to say how many of the seismograms recorded by MOD are produced as a consequence of nuclear weapons tests.
