§ Mr. WaldegraveThe first statutory marine nature reserve, at Lundy island, was announced on 21 November. The Nature Conservancy Council has identified six further potential reserves at Skomer, Menai, Bardsey, the Scilly isles, Loch Sween and St. Abbs head. Detailed consultations are continuing and it is hoped to designate more sites in 1987.
