asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have received a reasoned opinion from the European Commission under Article 169 of the Treaty of Rome, concerning the complaint launched by the RSPCA in February 1985 concerning the non-implementation of EC Directives on the international transit of live animals, and if so, whether they have yet replied or received notification of the commencement of infringement proceedings in the European Court.
