§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will clarify how much of the additional resources being made available for housing associations in Wales for 1987–88 is conditional on being used for restricted specific projects; and how much is by way of general increase to expand the normal activities of housing associations in Wales.
§ Mr. Wyn RobertsThe additional resources are in part being made available to enable the Housing Corporation to make limited grants in support of specific projects to provide rented housing with private sector finance. Substantial additional resources will also be devoted to the conventional Housing Association grant-funded programme. The precise distribution of resources will be decided when we have considered the Housing Corporation's detailed proposals for its approved development programme in 1987–88 which we expect to receive shortly.
