§ Mr. Rookerasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list by value the major 25 imported building materials in 1985, stating the import as a percentage of the United Kingdom market and show how this compares by value and import penetration with the position five years ago.
§ Mr. John Patten[pursuant to his reply, 25 November 1986, c. 234]: The products and groups of products given in the table include only those major building materials and components for which there is a reasonable correspondence between the classification of products used within the United Kingdom and that used for imports and exports.
