§ Mr. Rookerasked the Paymaster General if, pursuant to his reply, 28 January, Official Report, column 477, he will list the factors causing the delay in the proceedings to recover wages owed to Miss Juliet Kent of Birmingham.
§ Mr. TrippierFormal action to institute proceedings for recovery under section 22(5) of the Wages Councils Act 1979 was taken on 30 October 1985. Since then there has been correspondence between solicitors acting for the parties in an effort to achieve a settlement which would avoid the need to bring the matter to court. This has not been successful. Instructions have therefore been given for proceedings to be issued, but it is not possible at present to say when the case will be heard.
