§ Mr. John MacKayThe current arrangements, under which new support finance projects are controlled and managed locally, did not come into effect until 1 May 1985. The total set aside centrally to fund support finance projects in 1984–85 under the previous arrangements was £4.6 million. The amounts spent by individual boards were as follows:

Member for Ross, Cromarty and Skye (Mr. Kennedy).
Information on actual expenditure by health boards in 1985–86 is not yet available centrally. Indicative levels of expenditure on support finance projects in 1986–87 were given in my reply of 26 March 1986 at column 514, also in response to a question from the hon. Member for Ross, Cromarty and Skye.
