§ Mr. WhitneyThis information is not collected centrally on a regular basis. However, an ad hoc survey carried out in August 1983 indicated that 91 of the 127 health authorities surveyed were involved in schemes or sponsorship. In aggregate, there were 2,057 trainee places either available at that time, or in the later stages of planning.
