§ 66. Mr. Beithasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he is taking to increase the amount of European Community assistance to local authority projects.
§ Mr. TraceyLocal authorities and other public bodies which provide infrastructure for regional development in the assisted areas are given equal opportunity by the Government to apply for assistance from the European regional development fund. It is for the European Commission to decide initially which applications to support.
