§ Mr. StanleyIn the last 12 months, the Ministry of Defence has received eleven complaints from urban areas in north Devon about military aircraft noise. The heights and speeds at which flying training is conducted in the United Kingdom are limited in order to contain noise levels, and adherence to these limitations is closely monitored. Our rules on low flying are summarised in the Ministry of Defence leaflet "Why low flying", copies of which I am sending to my hon. Friend and am also placing in the Library.
