§ Mr. Franksasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if, pursuant to the answer of 20 June, Official Report, col. 204, concerning the documentation of the alleged death of Mr. Raoul Wallenburg, he will seek to acquire a copy of the manuscript report by the head of the prison medical service, and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. RifkindSince this report pertains to the death of a Swedish citizen, we would have no locus in asking to see it. The Russians claim that the full text of the report is contained in the Soviet note of 1957 handed to the Swedish ambassador. The Swedish authorities have confirmed to us that on various occasions they have asked for sight of the original to confirm this, but the Soviet Union has not agreed.
