HC Deb 29 October 1985 vol 84 c464W
Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make an up-to-date statement on the future of the Edinburgh dental hospital and school.

Mr. John MacKay

In my answer of 26 July at column692 to the hon. Member for Edinburgh, East (Mr. Strang) I referred to the outcome of the discussions on 23 July between Edinburgh university, Lothian health board, the University Grants Committee and the Scottish Home and Health Department. I understand that the health board will shortly submit proposals to replace the dental hospital for consideration by the University Grants Committee and the Secretary of State.
