§ Mr. Franksasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he has made any further 246W representations to the Government of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics concerning Mr. Raoul Wallenberg; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. RifkindI last raised the case of Raoul Wallenberg during my meeting with Soviet First Deputy Foreign Minister Kornienko in Moscow at the end of July. This was the third occasion on which I have done as in so many years. Regrettably, Mr. Kornienko chose not to comment on the matter. Nevertheless, we will continue to assist the Swedish Government in seeking to establish more clearly what happened to Mr. Wallenberg.
