For 1983–84 and 1984–85 expenditure with the Crown Suppliers in respect of all furniture and office supplies was £5.1 million and £4.6 million respectively. The bulk of the expenditure on office decorating is met by the Property Services Agency and details of the amount spent on Department of Employment accommodation is not available except at disproportionate cost.
