§ Mr. Cartwrightasked the Secretary of State for Transport whether he has received any submissions from private firms or consortia concerning the building of a third Dartford Tunnel other than that received from the Dartford Tunnel Group.
§ Mr. RidleySubmissions have not yet been invited, but we have received various approaches from a number of firms or groups interested in providing additional capacity at Dartford. It has been made clear to all that selection will be by open competition. I will announce the terms and conditions shortly.
