§ Mr. Gregoryasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what assessment he has made of the implications of the proposed introduction of statutory fat content nutrition labelling for intra-Community barriers to trade raised by other European Community member states in relation to exports of food products.
§ Mrs. FennerAny proposals that I may make for fat labelling of food will be discussed with representatives of the European Commission in Brussels, and implementation of such proposals would take place in the light of those discussions. I have no indications at the present that other member states would take action against our exports if imports from them were required to carry fat labelling.
