§ Mr. WhitneyThe following table shows capital expenditure by health authorities and capital receipts between 1980–81 and 1984–85. Proceeds from the sale of surplus land and property are retained by health authorities and have contributed to the continuing major programme of investment in the National Health Service estate. Details of individual hospital works are not held centrally.
