§ Mr. Sheermanasked the Paymaster General if he will publish, for each Manpower Services Commission area office, and for (a) 16-year-olds (c) 18-year-olds the latest careers service estimates of the number and proportion expected to leave school and further education college, and the number and proportion expected to find work outside the youth training scheme by 31 December.
§ Mr. Peter Bottomley[pursuant to his reply, 21 November 1985, c. 139]: The information requested is given below. The figures are derived from projections made by the careers service in autumn 1984 and revised in January 1985. The projections represent the careers service's best estimates of the destinations of 16, 17 and 18-year-olds who were eligible to leave school in the academic year 1984–85. There is insufficient information on which to base estimates of leavers from colleges of further education in each area.
