§ Sir George YoungThe numbers of housing starts reported by Portsmouth during 1979 appear in table 5 of the issue 53 of "Local Housing Statistics", and include dwellings started for the council outside its area, which are also shown separately in table 6. Starts during 1980 to 1983 are in table 1 of issue 73 and during 1984 in table 1 of issue 74. Copies of these publications are available in the Library.
