§ Mrs. ChalkerSince the Department accorded trunk road status to the A140 in 1978 there have been no plans to dual the road or any part of it. It is unlikely that predicted levels of traffic will justify dual carriageway improvements in the foreseeable future.

§ Mrs. ChalkerBypasses for Scole and Dickleburgh are in the national trunk road programme for start of work between April 1987 and March 1989. Improvements are176W also being planned for the B 1135 junction and the Church road junction at Tasburgh, and further schemes will be considered for the programme when they become justifiable.
