§ Mr. RentonOur relations with Singapore are excellent and based on mutual interest which we shall continue to promote. We attach importance to Singapore as a member of ASEAN contributing to the stability and development of south-east Asia, where the United Kingdom has substantial interests, and playing a respected role in international affairs.
