§ Mr. RentonI refer the hon. Member to the reply given by my hon. Friend the Member for Edinburgh, Pentlands (Mr. Rifkind) to the hon. Member for Liverpool, West Derby (Mr. Wareing) on 28 October. I discussed the whole question of human rights particularly on East Timor with senior Indonesian officials when visiting Jakarta last week.

§ Mr. RentonMy right hon. and learned Friend has not made a recent official visit to Indonesia, but I was there earlier this month to attend a conference on our regional heads of mission in Jakarta. Whilst there, I had useful discussions with Indonesian Ministers and officials.
