§ Mr. Kenneth BakerMy Department has issued detailed guidance to all local and public authorities on the eligibility of projects for European regional development fund assistance. This is based on the criteria set out in Council Regulation (EEC) 1787/84 and the operating practices of the European Commission. Further copies of the guidance are available from the Department's regional offices and those Departments sponsoring public authorities. It is ultimately for the European Commission to decide which projects to assist.
