§ Mr. Wallerasked the Secretary of State for Transport what changes he proposes to make to the cash limit on class VI, Vote 5.
§ Mr. RidleySubject to parliamentary approval of the necessary supplementary estimate, the cash limit for class VI, Vote 5 will be increased by £749,000 from a token provision of £1,000 to £750,000 to meet costs arising from preliminary work on the sale of shares in British Airways. The increase will be charged to the Reserve and will not therefore add to the planning total of public expenditure. These costs were to have been offset against the proceeds of the sale of shares this year, but it is now not expected that the sale will take place until early in 1986–87.
