§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeBetween 1979 and 1984, the numbers of general practitioners in Great Britain increased by some 2,700, or almost 10 per cent. from 25,614 to 28,301. Recruitment to general practice continues steadily and could produce further increases. There is, therefore, no need for additional measures.
