asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on current industrial relations at Government communications headquarters.

Following the election of officers and an executive committee the Government Communications Staff Federation came into being on 1 May 1985. An encouraging start has been made and discussions and negotiations are currently under way on a day-to-day basis between the federation and Government communications headquarters management on a wide variety of matters.
