§ 29. Mr. Norman Atkinsonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he is 455W satisfied that the Turkish Government are doing all they can to persuade Mr. Denktash to bring about a satisfactory conclusion to the Cyprus intercommunal talks.
§ Mr. RentonTurkish Government leaders made clear to my right hon. and learned Friend when he visited Turkey in February their support for the United Nations Secretary-General's initiative on Cyprus. We continue to keep in close contact with the parties involved and to urge co-operation with the Secretary-General in his search for a peaceful, just and lasting solution.
